“I’ve wrestled with reality for 35 years, and I’m happy to say I finally won out over it.”
~ the character Elwood P. Dowd, “Harvey” ~
The play Harvey was written by American playwright Mary Chase in 1944. The comedy, famous for its main character’s friendship with a six-foot invisible rabbit, won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1945 and was later adapted into a 1950 film starring James Stewart.
I remember watching that film. I might even watch it again.
