Love Words

I will tell of the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD,

According to all that the LORD has done for us,

And His great goodness toward the house of Israel,

Which He has shown them according to His compassion

And according to the abundance of His lovingkindnesses.

8For He said, “Be assured, they are My people,

Sons who will not be faithless.”

So He became their Savior [in all their distresses].

9In all their distress He was distressed,

And the [a]angel of His presence saved them,

In His love and in His compassion He redeemed them;

And He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.

Just Jot It January, 2026 ~ what a ride!

https://lindaghill.com/2026/02/01/just-jot-it-january-2026-we-did-it/

FROM LINDA:

We did it! 🎉

January 2026 is officially in the books, and it was a great month, wasn’t it? For blogging, anyway.

I had a great time visiting other blogs whenever I could and I met some wonderful bloggers on the way. I hope you had as much fun as I did.

Tell me how you did with the challenge. Did you post every day in January? Did you at least jot something somewhere? Let me know in the comments, or write your own “I did it! #JusJoJan26 Edition” post in the next few days, even if you only posted once, and link it back here.

Thank you so much to everyone who joined in on this, our 12th annual Just Jot it January. Special mention to everyone who provided prompts for us to write to! Here’s your annual participant badge to use in your “I did it” post or to pin anywhere you’d like.

✨✨✨

This was my first year participating in Just Jot It January–I got a late start, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.  HUGE thanks to Linda and everyone else who was along for the ride.  It was a great experience–looking forward to next year!💖

Groundhog Day

Groundhog Day:

every anniversary

(48 yrs)

failure’s reminder…

now I’m mildly amused

celebrating freedom

courage, strength to leave

abuse, shame behind–

forged new future, solo

(an underrated blessing)

bearing best fruit ever–

don’t need groundhog

to look for shadows

spring flowers early bloom

where once was marriage tomb–

Brimming Over ~ 10 Things of Thankful

I’m starting this New Year with some new things, one being the “10 Things of Thankful” list which many here in the blogs faithfully post and share.  Since I’m new, I’m still finding my feet.  But the main thing is the list, so here goes:

  1. thankful I know where I’m spending Eternity, courtesty of Jesus
  2. thankful to live in the Pacific NW, in an area where we are currently NOT having snow and ice (I’m still wearing shorts & t-shirts, going barefoot…in the house!)
  3. thankful I’m “Cajun-tough”, sufficient DNA inherited from Louisiana-Texas relatives
  4. thankful 2026 is already better-blessed with new attitude regarding the ageing gig: “just live around it!”
  5. thankful I can still cook & bake, it’s my love-language💖
  6. thankful I can still see well enough to do jigsaw puzzles!
  7. very thankful for Six-Sentence-Story “membership”, and that I can still put sentences together
  8. also thankful I can arrange words for poetry
  9. way thankful for my caregiver, a kind Russian woman
  10. thankful for my best friend who lives too far away…but we have email!

#11: Very thankful for WordPress blogging community, my life is enriched.

Consider This…

“Nothing that is worth doing can be achieved in our lifetime; therefore we must be saved by hope.

Nothing which is true or beautiful or good makes complete sense in any immediate context of history; therefore we must be saved by faith.

Nothing we do, however virtuous, can be accomplished alone; therefore we must be saved by love.

No virtuous act is quite as virtuous from the standpoint of our friend or foe as it is from our standpoint. Therefore we must be saved by the final form of love which is forgiveness.”

Wisdom, Anyone?

Amplified Bible
If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.

James 1:5
