I’m starting this New Year with some new things, one being the “10 Things of Thankful” list which many here in the blogs faithfully post and share. Since I’m new, I’m still finding my feet. But the main thing is the list, so here goes:
- thankful I know where I’m spending Eternity, courtesty of Jesus
- thankful to live in the Pacific NW, in an area where we are currently NOT having snow and ice (I’m still wearing shorts & t-shirts, going barefoot…in the house!)
- thankful I’m “Cajun-tough”, sufficient DNA inherited from Louisiana-Texas relatives
- thankful 2026 is already better-blessed with new attitude regarding the ageing gig: “just live around it!”
- thankful I can still cook & bake, it’s my love-language💖
- thankful I can still see well enough to do jigsaw puzzles!
- very thankful for Six-Sentence-Story “membership”, and that I can still put sentences together
- also thankful I can arrange words for poetry
- way thankful for my caregiver, a kind Russian woman
- thankful for my best friend who lives too far away…but we have email!

Welcome to the TToT! Where in the PNW are you? I grew up in the Willamette Valley in Oregon and my parents are still there. I’ve also lived in WA state (along with other, non-PNW places).
